PUPPET THEATRE MARIBOR

Visual Identity of the Puppet Theater Maribor

Role: Graphic Designer, Interior Designer, Illustrator

From 2010 to 2012, I developed the complete visual identity and designed the graphic orientation system for the Puppet Theatre in Maribor, Slovenia. As the in-house designer, I produced a wide range of print materials—including brochures, posters, advertisements, annual catalogues, invitations, business cards, and books—while maintaining consistent branding across all outputs. My work provided cohesive visual communication and promotional design to support theater productions and events.

Puppets are on the loose! Or so it seems. A unique blend of spotlights and puppet bunnies make the identity a special show for itself. The design carries a lot of illustrations, graphics and prints that bring the theatre to life. Located in a beautifully restored monastery by the river Drava, the theatre starts with new and fresh energy.

The graphic design is light and playful, and follows one rule: repeat as little things a possible. Therefore, on every corner you can find new adventures of the bunnies, making silly jokes, educational statements, and making sure all, the young and the old, feel fine and playful.

In 2019, I redesigned the core logo, making it simpler and more streamlined.
